I decided to dedicate this artwork to a motion that is important to me. I believe everyone is equal and should be respected and have the same rights. But unfortunately, that is not the case for everyone’s beliefs.
I am from Poland, and if you do some digging in the news, you will see the current political debates in the country around LGBTQ+ people. With the comments and actions taken against these people, I am disgusted with the place I come from, disregarding people because of preference and sexuality is not right and should not even be up for discussion, it should be something statuary, something that does not even need to be talked about, because it is normal. It is normal to love and feel for others, and creating an abnormality of it because it may be to do with gender is unacceptable. Creating anti LGBTQ+ zones, the way people in this community are talked about in the church in Poland and by their own president is beyond me, it saddens me and it needs to end.
I hope you enjoy my small piece above for the LGBTQ+ community. Know that I am with you, that you are loved and that this will be overcome one day.
